Frequent flyers are in for a treat this 2022 because there will be four new locations added to the Chase Airport Lounge network.
The new Chase lounges will be named “Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club” mainly because it’s a perk that comes with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
The first three airport lounges are located in the U.S. which are in La Guardia, Boston, and San Diego while the fourth airport lounge is located in Hong Kong.
The American Express Global Lounge Collection is currently the largest lounge network among all the other credit card issuers and it looks like Chase is trying to compete for a slice of the market share (and it should).
It’s nice to see companies competing against each other because it means better services for the consumers!

What We Know About The Chase Lounges
Chase has already announced last year (2021) that it will have a lounge network of its own with plans of opening it to the public in 2022.
The “Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club” is a partnership by Chase and The Club (obviously). The Club operates 19 lounges in the US and 3 lounges in the UK.
The four airport lounges will be located in Boston Logan National Airport (BOS), La uardia Airport (LGA) , Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), and San Diego International Airport (SAN). Food, drinks, entertainment, and wellness services will be provided at the lounges.
Boston Logan National Airport (BOS)
The Chase Airport lounge at Boston Logan National Airport will be constructed at the connector Terminal B and Terminal C. Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2022.
The airport lounge has an area of 12,000 square feet which will feature amenities for both families and business travelers. It will have a wellness area, family rooms, business lounges, and shower suites.
LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
There’s not much information about this airport lounge at the moment but it will be constructed at Terminal B which is close to Amex’s Centurion Lounge.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
Flyers can access the Chase Airport lounge at the West Hall of the International Departures area which is close to Gate 40. It will take a 5-minute shuttle ride or a 10-minute walk if you’re coming from the East Hall.
San Diego International Airport (SAN)
Chase loyalists will have to wait one more year before they have access to the San Diego Chase Airport lounge. The San Diego Airport Authority mentioned that opening date will be on November 2023.
The lounge will be constructed between Gates 46 and 47 on the mezzanine level and it will feature locally-inspired food, interior designs
According to San Diego Airport Authority (SDAA) documents, the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club has a targeted opening date of November 2023 and will feature “locally inspired design, local food, beverages, and art partnerships.”
These same documents indicate that the space, once completed, will be located on the mezzanine level, between Gates 46 and 47, and be part of a 10-year lease with a $17.6 million capital investment.
What To Expect From Chase Lounges
Having lounge access is a great perk to have when you have long layovers or if you just want to get a break from the hustle and bustle of the airport.
As of now, there’s not enough information on what each lounge has until the lounges are publicly open. What we do know is that Chase Lounge at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Aiport has the following amenities and perks:
- Free snacks and beverages
- Free high-speed Wi-Fi
- Work areas with computers and printers
- Spacious seating
- Shower areas
Chase lounges might need to step up their game with their 4 new lounges and provide more than just free snacks and beverages. The Amex Centurion lounges and Priority Pass lounges typically offer complete meals prepared by top chefs along with complimentary cocktails, beer, and wine.
