Admirals Club Access With Credit Cards

If you are a frequent flyer who frequently visits the AA lounge, having a credit card that provides access can be a great deal. If you own the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®, this card grants you an Admirals Club membership. With this membership, you’ll have access not only to domestic Admirals Club lounges but also to international lounges and select partner lounges. Also, you can add up to 10 authorized users for no added fee, all of whom will also receive Admirals Club access.

This card offers a sign-up bonus of 50,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months. Additionally, you’ll receive a $100 reimbursement every five years for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.

Access Rules

  • You can access Alaska Airlines Lounges when flying with American or Alaska Airlines. Qantas Clubs are available for same-day flights operated by Qantas or Americans from Auckland or Sydney. There are also select partner lounges for American Airlines flights.
  • You can bring up to two guests into the lounge with you
  • To access the Admirals Club, you’ll need a government-issued photo ID and one of the following: an Admirals Club membership card, a Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard®, or an AAdvantage® status card. It would be best if you also had a same-day boarding pass for an eligible flight.


By Flying Qualifying First and Business Class

Yes, you heard it right! You can gain access to Admirals Club Lounges by flying in First or Business class on specific qualifying flights. These flights encompass international, transcontinental, and other domestic routes operated by American Airlines, other airlines within the Oneworld alliance, or flights marketed by JetBlue and operated by American.

Access Rules

  • To have access, you’ll need a First or Business class boarding pass and a Government-issued photo ID.
  • Qualifying international first-class ticket holders can bring one guest who is also traveling on a departing or arriving Oneworld flight. Other qualifying customers are not allowed any guests.


Admirals Club One-Day Pass

If you’re not a member of the Admirals Club program or don’t hold a credit card, don’t worry! American Airlines offers day passes that allow you to experience the comforts of the Admirals Club for a single day. These passes can be purchased at select locations for $59 or 5,900 AAdvantage miles. To buy a day pass, log in with your AAdvantage account number and password, and you can make your purchase online.

American Admirals Club Membership

Also, if you have stacked up AAdvantage miles, you have the option to use them as a form of payment for the membership. However, it may not provide the best value for your points. You can also buy a household membership priced between $1,150 to $1,250, depending on your status level. This membership grants access to the Admirals Club for both you and your spouse or domestic partner.

Access Rules

  • With an annual membership, you can bring your immediate family, including your spouse and children, or up to two guests.


American AAdvantage Elite Status

If you have AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, or Platinum Elite status, you can enjoy complimentary access to Admirals Clubs when traveling on specific international routes.

Also, If you hold Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status, You can enjoy access to Admirals Clubs and partner lounges as long as you have a qualifying itinerary for same-day travel on a Oneworld carrier.

Same Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald status through Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan (MVP Gold, 75K, or 100K status), you and a guest are in for a treat! You can enjoy access to Admirals Clubs or Flagship Lounges, even when flying in economy class, on qualifying international itineraries operated by American Airlines or any Oneworld partner.

  • To access the Admiral Club, you will need a qualifying boarding pass with a Oneworld Frequent Flyer number and a Government-issued photo ID.
  • You can bring one guest who is also traveling on a departing or arriving Oneworld flight.


Military

If you are a U.S. military personnel traveling in uniform on a same-day flight operated by American Airlines, you are eligible to access the Admirals Club. You can access domestic and international Admirals Club locations, except for the airspace Lounge in San Diego (SAN) and JAL Sakura Lounge in Honolulu (HNL).

Access Rules

  • To gain access, you will need to present your Military ID and Boarding pass for a same-day flight operated by American.
  • Additionally, you are allowed to bring up to 2 guests with you.
