The Flying Blue program offers a new Promo Rewards offer every month, which gives 20–50% discounts on individual awards for travel on Air France and KLM. Applicable for travel until 30 June 2023 and must be booked by 31 January 2023.
It’s one of the biggest lists of promo rewards we’ve seen so far, and it includes rewards from all over the world, with 19 for short-haul routes and 10 for long-haul routes. However, there are only three destinations in North America.
Flying Blue Promo Rewards Key Terms
- Tickets for promotional rewards must be booked at www.airfrance.com or www.klm.com.
- Dates of travel must fall between January 1 and June 30, 2023.
- To get the Flying Blue promo rewards, flights must be booked by January 31, 2023.
- Promo reward tickets issued before 29 June 2022 are free to amend or cancel. Promo reward tickets issued since 29 June 2022 can be altered or canceled for €50.
Flying Blue Promo Rewards for January 2023
Recently the Flying Blue Promo Rewards for the month of January came out. You can choose the direction of your flight with the one-way or round-trip Promo Reward ticket options. Flight segments with dynamic pricing are not eligible for the Promo Reward discount; the discount is only valid on the lowest regular award fare.
There is a long list of all long-haul and short-haul promo rewards for the month of January, but only three are within North America :
- Boston: 25% off on economy class, starting at 11250 miles.
- Washington: 25% off on economy class, starting at 12750 miles.
- Miami: 25% off on economy class, starting at 12750 miles.
How do you earn flying blue miles?
Earning Flying Blue miles is easy. You can get flying blue miles using travel credit cards like Capital One, American Express, etc. You can earn miles and transfer them to your Flying Blue account by flying with airline partners.
There are other ways, like hotel bookings, car rentals, etc., from which you can transfer miles. Also, Flying Blue offers direct sales of Flying Blue miles at an attractive cost.
Flying Blue Transfer Partners
You don’t only earn Miles when you fly with Flying Blue. When you book a hotel, rent a car, or shop with several partners, your Miles will increase. Almost all major credit card points transfer to flying blue.
So you have a whole bunch of different options to earn points through credit card spend and signup bonuses and transfer them to flying blue at a 1:1 ratio and sometimes even better than a 1:1 ratio when there is an offer or promotion in place.

Flying Blue Miles Pooling
Flying Blue allows you to pool your miles as a family of up to eight members, with a maximum of two adults and six children. Anyone over 18 can have a Flying Blue account and become the family leader. The leader maintains the transfer and can transfer miles from other accounts.
It is useful when you are short on miles on your account while booking a flight. You can use pooling to transfer miles from a family member or let’s say you booked a cash fare for your entire family, and they all earn points on their individual accounts. You can combine all those points into one account for future redemption.
Bottom line
Flying blue promo rewards for January is here with a list of long-haul and short-haul main cabin award sales, although flights to/from North America are limited. If you want to save money on economy class tickets, there is some great option in this month’s Promo Rewards.
