Alaska’s elite status provides a range of benefits that can elevate every aspect of your journey, from expedited check-in and priority boarding and enhanced in-flight services.
Alaska MVP Status Tier
As I have mentioned above, there are four status levels in Alaska MVP which are: MVP, MVP Gold, MVP Gold 75K, and MVP Gold 100K. As an Alaska MVP member, you enjoy benefits such as priority check-in, free checked baggage, preferred seating, and complimentary upgrades to First Class or Premium Class (subject to availability). You also earn bonus miles on Alaska Airlines and partner flights, which can be used for future travel or rewards.
MVP Gold, MVP Gold 75K, and MVP 100K members receive enhanced benefits like higher upgrade priority, lounge access, and the ability to nominate someone for MVP status. MVP Gold members receive additional perks such as guest upgrades and elite status in partner airlines’ loyalty programs.

How To Qualify For Alaska Elite Status
You can qualify for Alaska Elite Status with Alaska’s mileage plan; this way, achieving elite status happens quicker compared to other airline loyalty programs and ensures you become an MVP in no time. As a Mileage Plan elite, you unlock not only exclusive benefits with Alaska Airlines but also gain additional privileges within the Oneworld Alliance and other Global Partners.
Another way to attain Alaska’s elite status is through a status match. To qualify for the status match, you’ll need to provide proof of your current elite status using Alaska’s status match.
You can get Alaska elite status in three ways:

Alaska MVP Benefits
Alaska Airlines offers four levels of elite status within its Mileage Plan program. As you progress through these levels, known as MVP statuses, the benefits and privileges increase.
MPV Status
The MVP status is the entry-level tier, providing basic benefits to frequent flyers. MVP members enjoy numerous advantages, including a 50% mileage bonus when booking Alaska Airlines flights. Other notable perks at the MVP level are the potential for first-class and premium-class upgrades.

To achieve Alaska Airlines MVP Gold status, you’ll need to earn a specific number of miles or fly a certain number of segments with Alaska Airlines or its partner airlines. The eligibility requirements for MVP Gold are twice as much as MVP status: 40,000 miles or fly 60 segments on Alaska Airlines or Partners.

This means you receive a higher priority for upgrades, giving you an even better chance of securing a seat in a premium cabin. What’s more, you won’t have to worry about those pesky close-in ticketing fees, as they are completely waived for MVP Gold 75K members.
To reach the MVP Gold 75K elite status with Alaska Airlines, you’ll need to fly 75,000 miles or complete 90 segments with Alaska or one of its partner airlines.

To attain Alaska’s prestigious top-tier MVP Gold 100K status, you need to accumulate 100,000 elite qualifying miles or complete 140 segments on Alaska Airlines or its partner airlines.
