Bonus Points

As a World of Hyatt member, you will get 5 base points for every dollar spent on staying at Hyatt, but when you become a Hyatt Globalist, you will get an extra 30% bonus points which means 6.5 points per dollar spent.

For example, let’s consider a 3-night stay with an average nightly rate of $150, totaling $450. Normally, you would receive 2,250 points. However, with Hyatt Globalist status, you will receive a total of 2,925 points, earning an additional 675 points.

Please keep in mind that the additional points you earn are considered bonus points, separate from the base points you receive. When it comes to qualifying purchases, you will still earn five base points for every dollar spent.

This perk allows you to have more flexibility during your stay, making your travel experience even more enjoyable.

Guest of Honor bookings

Hyatt’s Guest of Honor benefit is a fantastic perk for Globalist members. It enables them to use their points to book a reservation for a friend or family member. You can use your free night certificates for a friend or family member too. The best part is that the person staying on the reservation gets to enjoy all the elite status privileges that come with it. It’s a great way to share the benefits and make someone’s stay extra special.

Waived Resort And Parking Fees

Extra fees can add up to your bill, and they can significantly increase the cost of your stay. Fortunately, as a Hyatt Globalist member, you won’t be charged any resort fees when you redeem your awards for a stay. The Benefit of Hyatt Globalist is that you don’t have to pay any resort fee not only on the award bookings but for all your stays.

Globalist members enjoy the perk of not having to pay for on-property parking when booking a stay with points or award certificates. These parking fees can often exceed $50, so it’s a good value you can get from this benefit.

Hyatt Free Nights

To qualify for Hyatt Globalist, you need to earn 60 elite nights within a year. Once you achieve this milestone, you will receive two free night certificates every year. When you reach 30 elite nights, you are rewarded with a Category 1-4 free night certificate. And when you surpass 60 elite nights, you are granted a Category 1-7 free night certificate.

Is The Hyatt Globalist Worth It?

The Globalist status offers a range of benefits, such as room upgrades, late checkout, complimentary breakfast, and access to exclusive lounges. If you frequently stay at Hyatt properties and value these perks, then achieving Globalist status can enhance your hotel experience and provide excellent value. So, in the end, it all depends on your needs, whether you want these extra comforts or not.

However, it’s important to consider the cost and effort required to earn and maintain Globalist status. Earning 60 elite nights in a year can be challenging for some travelers, and the qualification requirements may not align with everyone’s travel patterns. So, if you are thinking of getting to the Hyatt Globalist level, it’s recommended to carefully evaluate your travel habits, preferences, and the value you place on the benefits offered by Globalist status to determine if it is worth pursuing.

Hyatt Transfer Partners

One common concern is that we often wish we had more points when we are short some points to redeem and fully enjoy these perks. Hyatt offers various transfer partners, allowing you to transfer points from these partners to increase your redemption options.

Hyatt Airline Partners

World of Hyatt members have the option to convert their points into more than 20 airline partners. In general, when transferring Hyatt points, you can typically expect a ratio of 5 World of Hyatt points for every 2 frequent flyer miles. However, in some cases rates may differ.

American Airlines Partnership

If you’re an Elite member of both programs, you have the opportunity to earn rewards in two ways. With Hyatt, you can earn one American AAdvantage mile for every dollar you spend. Similarly, when you book with American, you’ll earn one World of Hyatt point for each dollar spent.

Transfer Points From Chase

Yes! If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you have the option to transfer them to Hyatt at a ratio of 1:1 and use them to cover the cost of your stay. However, this is not the best value for your Chase points, but you can transfer them and use them for your Hyatt bookings.

Here are some of the Chase Credit Cards you can use to earn Chase Ultimate Rewards:

Bottom Line

In conclusion, being a Hyatt Globalist member entitles you to an array of excellent benefits, making it an incredibly rewarding hotel loyalty program as the Hyatt Globalist benefits are easily worth more than thousands of dollars. If you enjoy vacationing at Hyatt hotels and resorts, achieving Hyatt Globalist status is well worth the effort.
